Kulvinder Singh Dhahan grew up in the village of Dhahan. He has been an enthusiastic participant in the building of Guru Nanak Mission Medical & Educational Trust from its inception. After completing a bachelor of arts (BA) from Ramgarhia College in Phagwara and a Giani (Punjabi Literature) Certificate from Guru Nanak Dev University in 1988, he earned a diploma in X-ray radiography.
As a teenager, Dhahan was present for the laying of the foundation stone ceremony for Guru Nanak Mission Hospital. From the early 1990s to 2003, he worked at the hospital as an X-ray technician. In 1999, he played an important organizing role in the International Sikh Education Conference. At the behest of S. Budh Singh Dhahan, he became a Trustee in 2003. He accompanied the founder on local and international fundraising initiatives, including to Canada.
With his excellent communication skills, he was recognized as a public speaker and good-will ambassador for Guru Nanak Mission Medical & Educational Trust. For 35 years, he has served as the President of the historic Manji Sahib Gurdwara at Dhahan.
